• What permissions/data does Aktiv require from Moodle?

  The Aktiv app is installed as an LTI external tool. Any courses launched from LMS will thus pass the Course ID (LTI ContextID), as well as information about the instructor or student making the launch (such as their LTI userId and email).

  With this, Aktiv can perform a grade sync for that course for each of the students that have launched.

• Why aren’t my grades appearing in Moodle LTI 1.1 integration?

  It is possible you need to enable grading within the Aktiv LTI 1.1 tool in the Moodle course. I know this is typically not needed when setting up the LTI tool, but I know we’ve seen issues similar to this where including grading for the actual external tool pushes student grades. Anyway, once we enabled grade point for the external tool we were able to push grades successfully to the Moodle gradebook.
